CNZ PIR THERMAL BREAK STRIP
Features & Benefits Sheet
Product: 1200 × 50 × 20 mm/25mm • Foil-faced PIR (embossed foil both sides) • Rigid PIR core
· High thermal performance in a thin profile (20 mm PIR approx. R0.90–R1.00).
· Foil-faced for durability and moisture control.
· Rigid and stable — resists sagging/slumping; consistent thickness.
· Installer-friendly 1200 mm lengths — easy handling and repeatable detailing.
· Fast cutting and fitting with minimal mess (knife or fine-tooth saw).
· Suitable for walls, roofs, and façades (battens/top-hats/rails/Z-girts).
For builders & installers:
· Faster installs than tapes/offcuts; simple QA check (continuous strip, tight joints).
· Reduces condensation/cold-spot call-backs and uneven support issues.
· Repeatable detailing across jobs and crews.
For designers & H1 compliance:
· Significantly reduces thermal bridging through steel members.
· Helps maintain constructed R-values in steel-framed walls and metal roof systems.
· Typically exceeds common thermal-break minimum performance references (e.g., R0.25) with ~R0.9–R1.0 at 20 mm.
For building owners:
· Warmer internal surfaces with fewer ‘cold lines’ at studs/rails.
· Lower heating/cooling demand and improved comfort.
· Improved condensation resistance at steel-to-cladding junctions.
· Steel-framed external walls: behind cladding battens/top-hats/rails.
· Metal roofing: between roof sheet and purlins/top-hats/battens.
· Rainscreen façades: behind sub-framing rails and Z-girts.
· Thermal isolation at junctions where steel components bridge the envelope.
· Install strips continuous and tight-butted (no gaps).
· Fix cladding/battens/rails through PIR into structure as per normal detail.
· Do not overtighten fasteners — avoid crushing the PIR.
· Optional: hold in place with tape/adhesive dots prior to fixing.
Carton: 70 strips = 84 lineal metres
Pallet: 48 cartons = 4,032 lineal metres
